Summary

A request for Pharmaceutical & Allied Company to produce and supply Hand Sanitizer and Facemask within a short period of time.

Statement of Need

In view of the Corona Virus Disease outbreak in 2019 known as COVID-19, and in furtherance of our strategy to solve local challenges, NSE Victoria Island Branch request requires the services of pharmaceutical & allied production and/or marketing company to produce and supply hand sanitizer and face mask. The items shall be distributed to persons within the catchment areas of NSE Victoria Island as part of our corporate social responsibility and with an intention to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Lagos, Nigeria, and the world at large. The aim of this project is to reduce the spread of Corona  virus disease by giving out hand sanitizer and facemask to the most vulnerable persons I.e. market women and public transport operators while achieving a social return on investment of more than 1:5.

Background

The Nigerian Society of Engineers Victoria Island Branch is the umbrella body of all professional Engineers working or residing in the Island Stretch from Lagos Island to Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State. The NSE Victoria Island Branch is one of the seventy-two (72) branches of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in Nigeria. We are a Non Governmental Organisation and a Not-for-profit Organisation focused on entrenching a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship for our members and Nigeria. One of our objectives is “To subscribe or guarantee or otherwise use monies of the Society for charitable or benevolent objects or scholarships and bursaries or for any exhibitions for any public general or useful objects” and NSE VI branch exemplifies this goal through this RFI.

Qualifications

NSE VI Branch wants to engage with organisations that are involved in pharmaceutical and public health items including sanitizer and facemask. The organisation should have an existing production facility for both products and must be willing to demonstrate her capacity to deliver an order within a reasonable period of time. Only organisations that are registered with relevant Government authorities National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and whose MD/CEO is operational licence with Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN) should respond to the RFI.

Information Requested

Companies and businesses interested in the RFI should answer the following questions and provide evidence to support each response.

  1. What is your company’s registered name, operational address, phone number, email address, and website address (if any)?
  2. Is your company registered with CAC? If yes, please share your Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Article of Association (MEMART), forms CO2 (Shareholders) and CO7 (Directors).
  3. Is your company a responsible corporate citizen of Nigeria? If yes, please share your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Value Added Tax (VAT) registration certificate.
  4. Is your company and products accredited by relevant regulatory authority? If yes, please share your organisation’s and products registration certificate number as duly accredited by National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
  5. Is your MD/CEO a registered Pharmacist? If yes, please share his Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN) Certificate and valid licence.
  6. What is your daily production capacity for hand sanitizer? Please quote in Litres per batch, batches per day, and count of 100ml, 250ml, and 1,000ml containers.
  7. What is your daily production capacity for facemask? Please quote in Number that can be produced, disinfected, and package.
  8. How many persons work in your factory? Please quote the number of permanent staff and temporary workers separately.
  9. Can you produce and supply without an initial mobilization fund? If no, what is the upfront payment percentage that your organisation requires.
  10. Do you have a corporate bank account? If yes, please share a letter of identification by your bank stating your account name, number, branch sort code etc.
